We had a large, complicated basement project that required coordination of multiple trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, cabinetry, tile, windows, concrete, wall board and painting. We have worked with Bayern Builders on several projects and each time had a fantastic experience each time! We started with a total tear-out and remodel of our pantry/mudroom/laundry room area. A year later, we did the full kitchen, and another year later, we did the master bedroom and complete tear out of the master bath. Joe and his team are reliable, good communicators, accommodating and produce high quality work. They aren't the cheapest, but I think they are worth every dollar to have peace of mind knowing the job will be done right. Their crew is also incredibly talented - we have been complemented countless times on our kitchen especially. Our latest project is the basement which is currently under construction and we couldn't be more pleased. Joe has been fantastic through the whole process from initial estimate through the current work being performed. His team is incredibly respectful of the house and works to keep it as clean as possible during construction. We have always felt comfortable with his crew in our house and they are always willing to answer our questions. We'd use Bayern Builders again in a heartbeat for any other projects we have!

My wife and I are so glad to have found Joe Wasler at Bayern Builders. After contacting 13 remodeling contractors, of which, six returned my initial phone call for our 6 bedroom Remodeling job. Out of the four of them came to our home and gave us a proposal. Joe was one of the four. Right from the start, we knew that Joe was trustworthy, honest and offered competitive price. His proposal had details on the entire scope of work that we wanted performed, whereas the other bids/estimates were incomplete and lacked the necessary detail to make an informed decision. We selected Bayern because of Joe's thoroughness. From the initial design meeting to the final walk through, Don were very focused on details and their workmanship top rated. I got estimates from 3 companies and Joe came in the middle both in price and timing. The initial design was bland. Bayern Builders has employed an extremely excellent team of professionals working for them. Whether it's their direct employees or the subcontractors that they hire, the quality of their work product can be said to be nothing by excellent. Everyone that worked on my project (a 1960 Kitchen and Bath renewal), took care and pride to provide the best possible results. Working in a house that is 63 years old can be challenging. Building practices in the 50's and 60's was much different than they are today. This is not to say that a house built in 1960 is inferior, just that it makes reworking an older home more difficult. The Bayern Builders team was able to change an ugly duckling into a swan!

After searching and waiting for almost a year with other contractors who couldn't or would not take on the job, I was thrilled that Bayern Builders came forward. I needed my garage remodeled and needed several doors installed. The garage door opening was made wider so I could finally get my car inside comfortably, new drywall installed, beautiful epoxy floor and two new doors were installed. The work was done professionally and I am extremely happy with the results. I would definitely use Bayern Builders again and highly recommend them!

Joe is the absolute best! Diligent, meticulous and his work is second to none. He painted the interior of my home, installed crown molding and wainscoting throughout and is doing my built ins around the fireplace. He also helped with small jobs during the project like switching out the mirrors/lighting in both of my bathrooms. He is honest, reliable and an all-around great guy. Will be using Bayern for every home improvement project moving forward.

Now that the project is complete, we couldn't be happier with the job that Joe Wasler & his staff at Bayern Builders Inc did. We did a total reno of our condo in LaGrange creating the updated home we desired. He gave us an honest timeline for completion & met it. His team was very reliable, respectful of the property & neighbors, were highly skilled in all that the project entailed & were very accommodating & friendly. Bayern Builders is not new to me. My first experience was over 20 years ago, a complete kitchen remodel. The recent project completed is the sixth project by Bayern Builders. Bayern Builders has done a complete remodel of two kitchens and three bathrooms over the years. They never disappoint, always have responsible, experienced workers, clean, trusting, efficient and good competitive prices. I highly recommend Bayern Builders, you will not be disappointed.

Joe and his team transformed my small 50-year-old kitchen with beautiful custom cabinets and created more storage than I ever thought possible. The craftsmanship is top-notch, all while staying comfortably within our budget. Their team was professional, courteous, and made sure our home stayed clean throughout the renovation.

Joe Wasler and Bayern Builders originally installed our kitchen in 2014, and we are still very happy with it. Almost every day, I tell my husband "I love my kitchen." Last month, we had a leak from the bathroom above the kitchen, which led to water damage.

We worked with Joe and Bayern builders for our complete kitchen remodel, hardwood floor refinishing, and complete repainting of our home to name a few things. Joe is your quintessential Chicago man, he's kind and a straight-shooter. He was direct about what we could expect, incredibly responsive, efficient, and did exactly what he said he and his team would do when they said they would do it. It was really important to me for family reasons to be able to be in our home to celebrate Thanksgiving and Joe gave me his word in July that we could do that, and despite a few hiccups that threatened to delay things, he made good on his promise and used all of his resources to ensure we could still move in on time. I have literally never written a review before in my life, but felt compelled by the seamless experience we had renovating our home with Bayern Builders to make what a wonderful experience we had be known. I had an incredibly specific vision for our kitchen, and Joe not only delivered it to perfection but also gave really valuable feedback along the way and when faced with challenges like not immediately having a contact on hand to do the plastered hood I wanted—was able to use the network of his team to have someone out who did exactly what I wanted within 72 hours so that we could move in on time. All in all, going with Joe was the best decision we could have made in our remodel and although renovating a home is never a painless process, it was as minimally stressful as it could have been because of who we chose to go with. 10 out of 5 stars if I could!

Joe and his dedicated team performed a complete kitchen overhaul as well as several home improvements on our lower level (sanding and refinishing all hardwood floors, painting most of the lower level, removing pillars, and adding crown molding etc. The job was performed to a high standard in all aspects. I would highly recommend Joe and his team for any and all home improvement projects.

Joe helped us with a small bathroom remodel in the past and we liked his work, so we decided the go with him again on this bigger project. We were tearing up the tiles downstairs and replacing it all with hardwood. We ran into issues with the subfloor.

Their attention to detail working in a limited area along with building special sliding doors to access our utilities was phenomenal.
