Harmarc Estates · Highview Estates · 1950s-1969
Post-war ranch and split-level homes built during Westmont's rapid growth phase, when population nearly tripled between 1960 and 1980. These are single-story and bi-level plans with 3-bedroom, 2-bath configurations, often on Ogden Avenue-area lots that feed the Hinsdale Central and Westmont High School catchments. The primary remodeling request is a full kitchen and bath overhaul combined with basement finishing to reclaim underused square footage for a home office or recreation room.
